Finally a little COMPASSION and common sense from our Federal government. About darn time. I almost can't believe this is happeneing. After 8 long years of Bush, I forgot about life, liberty, and the pursuit of happiness. A victory for those who suffer but can find relief from marijuana.

And we only had to boost the federal budget to $4T to get our change! Yippie!
It would have been cheaper for all stoners to move to Amsterdam on the federal dime.

This has nothing to do w/ a larger federal budget. This is a way to cut costs and do the right thing. It will save the country money and sick people can have their medicine when prescribed by a doctor. Win/win situation.

I agree that this should have happened a long time ago.
It didn't, and it has now because of the ideas of Barack Obama. This is a great thing, as I think we can pretty much all agree on (here at least). Lawyers smoke it.
BUT>
You can't have the good without the bad though, the budget is also because of the ideas of that very same man, Barack Obama.

They are, therefore, very related.

Good thing for sure.. the problem, at least where I live, is getting the local police department to share the same attitude.

"Well, it's evil, wicked, mean & nasty!
(Don't step on the grass Sam!)
It will ruin our fair country!
(Don't be such an ass Sam!)
It will hook your Sue & Johnny!
(You're so full of bull Sam!)
All will pay that disagree with me!
(Please give up. You've already lost the fight, all right?")

"You waste my time Sam all you can
To jail my fellow man
For smoking of the noble weed
You need much more than him.
You've been telling lies so long
Some believe they're true,
So they close the rights to things
You have no right to do.
Just as soon as you are gone
Hope will start to climb.
Please don't stay around too long,
You're wasting precious time!"

Legal or not, smoking and driving is a bad idea.

Here in the County Butte, our Sheriff's have take a compassionate stance. All medical gardens which are in compliance w/ the law are left untouched. I have a very close friend who spent an afternoon last fall giving local authorities the grand tour of ganja........they took the 3 plants that were not covered in my buddies paperwork.....left about 160 in the soil.

Now, if the feds lay-off the weed busts, this nation will be a better and safer place to live.

I agree about the smoking while driving, i was thinking more of people I know who have been transporting plants to MMJ clubs/nurseries etc, being pulled over. Not smoking.

Better have your Tax stamps and grow paper trails ready or loss it to the G-men and buy it at the government store.

Oh yes, the gummint will want to control the THC content of whatever brands of ragweed to be sold in the stores. Who knows just what kind of drugs they'll put in it for mind control of the masses. They tried this before with LSD and it spawned this scene...

The raids will resume, when a few people in Congress get pissed off about this new policy. They made marijuana illegal in 1937 and they will want to have the final say in changing their own pot laws.

Both Reid and Pelosi kicked herr Holder in the teeth the other day. They want no part of Obama's gun control crusade either. There are just too many swing states, where neither idea is gonna get somebody elected garbage man...
